Inter will play Reggina at the San Siro Stadium on Sunday, probably Baggio will start from the bench again.
About that Spain-Italy friendly, Italian press put a lot of pressure on the coach Dino Zoff, but he still felt confidence that Italy could reach the semi-finals of Euro2000. Although it's just a friendly, but when looking at the bad performance on Wednesday, it's hard to imagine how they will be when facing strong teams such as France or the Netherlands.

Without Baggio, Italy lost to Spain in Barcelona with a score of 0-2. Looking back to the past 20 something years, Italy met Spain 5 times, and were unbeaten in all 5 matches.

A shocking result that sank Inter totally. They travelled to play Lecce and back with a loss of 0-1. Zamorano and Recoba started the game, but RAI Sport gave both of them only 5 points. Vieri came in from the bench at the beginning of the second half, but was again injuried just after playing for 21 minutes. Roby finally played more than 10 minutes, he substituted Zamorano in the 61st minute, and RAI Sport gave him a 6. Now Inter's title hope is virtually broken for this season, they now should prepare well for the Italian Cup final play against Lazio.
On the other hand, Italy will play a friendly match with Spain this week, Baggio once again is not in the list, and there is only one Inter player in the squad, Di Biagio.

Brazillian Ronaldo returns from injury, according to Inter official site, yesterday he played in 2 friendlies for Inter, in both matches Baggio was playing with him. Roby didn't score in both games, but his partner Ronaldo did score twice in the first match, and nearly got one in the second. Now Ronaldo is back, also Vieri is available, with the already-fit Zamorano and Recoba, it's hard to imagine how Baggio will be until this season ends.

As reported in the Singapore newspaper The Electric New Paper, Germany's veteran player Lothar Matthaeus will have an official farewell game played on May 26 in Munich. In that match, German national team will take on the world stars. Baggio and his Inter teammate Ronaldo are both probable members of the World star team. Rivaldo and Beckham, the first and second place of last year's world footballer of the year, are also invited.
Matthaeus is the world record holder as the most-cap player ever for a national team with 144 caps up to this point.

Inter got the lead in the 48th minute, but once again the game was levelled at the final minutes. Baggio's ex-teammate Paramatti scored the equalizing goal. Roby himself didn't play although he was in the bench. Remember 2 years ago, when he was at Bologna, he set up the winning goal for Paramatti at the San Siro Stadium, which saw the team beat Inter.

Yesterday Inter played a friendly match with Seveso youth team, they won by 4-0 as reported at Inter official site. Baggio partnered with Mutu, with Seedorf behind them. Roby didn't score.
This Saturday, Inter will play Bologna at the San Siro Stadium. They are now 9 points behind Juventus with 9 matches to go. When talking about the game against his former team, Baggio said "we must not give up, despite many things have happened to us so far. We know referees are not perfect and they make mistakes sometimes. The bad thing is that they always troubled us in important matches." The referee in the Inter-Lazio match allowed the equalizing goal for Lazio, while it was obvious that goalkeeper Peruzzi was obstructed by Lazio player beforehand; also defender Cordoba was sent off in a 50-50 situation.

Inter had 2 goals on hand until the final 10 minutes, during which Lazio scored 2 back to equalize the game. With the pressure by Lazio throughout the match, and with defender Cordoba sent off just before the end of the first half, it was "lucky" enough for Inter to keep one point in pocket. Inter scorers were Recoba and Di Biagio, Baggio didn't play in the match. Inter now have 57 points on the ladder, if Juventus win today, the gap between them will increase to 9 points, considering that there are only 9 matches to go, it's not a small gap.

As predicted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, tonight's match against Lazio, Inter will probably play Zamorano and Recoba up front again, while Baggio stays on the bench.

 Inter will play an important away match against second place Lazio at Saturday night, who wins will keep challenging league leader Juventus, while the loser will virtually be kicked out of the race. It's not known whether Baggio will play or not.

The result of Milan derby was Inter Milan beat AC Milan 2-1, Zamorano and Di Biagio were the scorers. Baggio substituted Zamorano in the 81st minute, Inter were already 2 goals ahead at that time. But within the short period of playing time, Roby still managed to have a chance to score, he missed it though.
Now there are 10 weeks of Serie A matches left, Inter are 7 points behind league leader Juventus.

Inter played a practice match with local team Novatese, they won by 8-0. Baggio played in the first half and scored a goal, but then Lippi used Recoba and Mutu in the second half, they both scored twice.
Although Ronaldo and Vieri are surely unavailable, it's still unclear whether Baggio will start the match against AC Milan or not. As predicted by Cannonieri web site, Zamorano and Recoba will probably be the attacking partner.
