As reported in BresciaOggi, Baggio was happy about Brescia's victory, and he felt that this victory was a relief for the team. Also Roby was satisfied with Brescia's overall performance, he said "against Reggina the whole Brescia was effective that I saw a positive, aggressive, shining squad. There was worry that something negative could result from the absence of some players, instead, nothing. Yesterday's friendly with Primavera di De Paola ended with Brescia winning by 5-0, and Baggio scored one goal. While there is concern about Brescia's forwards that Hubner and others are having various problems, therefore it's nearly impossible to avoid playing Roby as a forward on Sunday.
This Sunday's clash with Reggina will be very special because Baggio refused to join the Southern-Italian club during the Summer, instead he is now with Brescia. For this reason, Reggina officials did an interview with Roby and it was reported in Reggina Official Site.
First of all, Roby was asked whether it would be a special moment on Sunday, and he said "sure, it will be a very important contest for both teams, neither, sincerely, Brescia nor Reggina had I thought to be in this situation three months ago. In Summer I have known president Foti and his plan, he has explained to me that he was to construct a group, which I think that it is a valid plan." Then he went on to say that soccer is full of moments that requires waiting with calm and serenity, which is what he always emphasizes.
About choosing Brescia instead of Reggina, Roby said "the fact is that my choice was not affected by the ambition of the squad, and the fact that today I am playing for Brescia and the gamble not to degrade demonstrates this, therefore like my refusal to large squad like Madrid, Leverkusen, Istanbul, Paris and some Japanese, it was not the condition of the city that condition my choice. I did not want to force my children and wife to their fourth move in five years."
With regard to Reggina and president Foti, Roby said that Foti was the only president he had met in those months of negotiations, and that he esteemed the president, his plan, the team as well as the people of Reggio di Calabria. But after all his family always comes first.

For the preparation of the match against Reggina, Brescia will play a friendly today against a team called Primavera di De Paola, then they will have a training session at Erbusco in Friday afternoon, and another one at Cocaglio in Saturday morning.
FIFA has announced the final 27 candidates for the World Player of the Century award, Baggio and Zoff are the only Italians in those names. The winner of this award will be announced during the 2000 FIFA World Player Gala to be held on 11 December in Rome.

As reported in Calciomercato.com, Brescia resumed training on Tuesday, while Baggio trained separately with the group, but he had no problem, don't worry. Also Calciomercato.com predicted the team might use 3-5-2 in Sunday's away match against Reggina, with Roby as a forward.

Gianni Gianluppi, editor of Giornale di Brescia, spoke out the problem of Brescia Calcio, he said the problem was not Baggio, but what's around Baggio. Today Brescia will play Juventus at their home ground Mario Rigamonti Stadium. Baggio was expected to play as a forward, but La Gazzetta dello Sport predicted him to be an attacking midfielder behind Hubner and Turkylmaz.
On the other hand, as reported in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Baggio said he would like to score his first goal wearing Brescia's jersey in the match against Juventus. He also talked a bit about national coach Trapattoni, he said "Trapattoni has mentioned my name spontaneously and this, for me, already means alot. The fact is that he gives me more hopes, because after many years with Trap he knows me well. It depends all on me, it turns out that I will need to obtain result on personal and squad levels."

Firstly he said it was not a favourable beginning for the team. Then he was asked about playing up front, and he said "I prefer to play behind, but that will give some more equilibrium to the team. Surely we hoped to have more points in the previous contests, actually the squad has always given me the feeling of playing a good game." And he added he was happy to be with this group.
After that he went on to talk about Juventus, he said "I very much respect the glorious tradition of the squad." When asked if he wanted to score a goal, he answered "sure, I want to score, but at the moment it is more important for the squad and who scores, scores."
About the national team, he told the press "it is not a step that I must take now. Before it there is Brescia."
Then someone told him that when he was in Bologna, they only got three points after six matches, and Roby said "it was also a difficult beginning. But then we pulled out of it. Yesterday Brescia played a training match with amateur team Accademia Sandonatese. They won by 10-0 and Baggio scored a goal.
As I was told by Angelo from Brescia, actually the Mario Rigamonti Stadium was built in the late 1950s, not in 1928 as stated in Brescia Calcio Official Site. Before they moved to this ground, their home was at another stadium called the Viale Piave Stadium.

Coach Mazzone has decided to change Brescia's formation in the match against Juventus, he will put Baggio up to the very front and let him plays alongside Hubner. In this case, it will be very likely that we can see Roby scoring his first goal for Brescia at the Rigamonti Stadium on Sunday.
