Baggio revealed that this could be his last season of playing soccer, he said "there are good possibility that this is my last league season, I will do my best in order to go to the World Cup, but I do not want to speak more than that." (Datasport)

About Serie A, Roby said "the two Rome squads have had a slow start, but I think they have the capability to return to the group at the top. About the fight between Juve, Inter and Milan, the fact is that Juventus has a more complete squad. Who will win the scudetto? Surely my Brescia will not win. For us the scudetto is represented by salvation." (Giornale di Brescia)

As reported in Giornale di Brescia, last night Baggio received the Scirea prize in Cinisello Balsam, and during the ceremony he met national team coach Trapattoni, they had a little chat, but Roby did not reveal the content of their conversation.

Instead, he answered a few questions raised by journalists, firstly about the increase in number of registered players allowed in World Cup 2002 from 22 to 23 per team, Roby said "I would like to go, I can carry the things for my teammates. But now I must perform well in the championship. In a year beautiful things can happen, but also ugly things, unfortunately. It is possible that this is my last World Cup."

Then Roby said he would have left Brescia if coach Mazzone had chosen to leave a couple of weeks ago.

About Ronaldo, Roby said "Ronnie will know how to choose the correct time to return." And about Totti could win the Pallone d'Oro award, Roby said "he played a great season. I do not know who the other candidates are, but I know that he has been playing good." When asked whether Totti could be his heir, Roby answered "our roles are different, but I think that Francesco can be better than what he is today."

Yesterday Brescia played a friendly match, and Roby was in good form that he scored a goal and assisted on another. This Sunday Brescia will travel to Turin for the away match against Torino.
